Viola d'Amore 14 strings, after J.U Eberle (1733)

Luthier in Prag in the XVIIIe century, Johannes Ullrich Eberle is estimated by the current musicians by the quality of the wonderful violas d'amore he built. The delicacy of its work shows us its knowledge on these instruments both by the decorations and by the appropriate construction of the instrument.
Based on several models I did observe and measure from J.U Eberle, I build this viola d'amore for the "Orchestre de Picardie", so that it can have all the versatility of the repertoire.
The front is made of 2 pieces of carved spruce. The back, ribs and neck are made of pearwoood.
