Everything balances it, when sounds dance on the fragility of the harmonics strings, they reveal all the mystery of an impalpable tone, as soft shivers appear under the enjoyment of a caress.

Conceived from the models of the XVIIIth century, these violas d'amore are the fruit of a historic and creative blending.

Viola d'amore 14 strings, after Georg Aman (1735)

When Daniela Braun asked me to build her a viola d'amore, I was quite naturally inspired by a Georg Aman's model, I've seen during my researches on violas d'amore measured in the Cité de la Musique of Paris (details here).
By the fineness and the quality of its contruction, I thought this instrument corresponded to the expectations of Daniela to whom were add a scuplture more personal...related to her forebear (Aïeul" in french!).
